These terms cover the photo albums Vayluma makes for events: for the hosts who create them and the guests who add photos.
The service and the plans
Vayluma makes one photo album per event. Guests add photos from their phone's browser through the album's link or QR code, and the host keeps the album.
Free, $0
- Guests can add up to 1,000 photos.
- The album keeps 100 of them as smaller copies and holds the rest until the host upgrades.
- Guests add photos until 2 days after the event day.
- Originals are stored up to 8 GiB per album and held until the host upgrades.
The Full Event, $29 per event
- The album keeps every photo, up to 5,000.
- Guests add photos for 30 days after the event day.
- Originals are stored up to 20 GiB per album; past that, a photo stays the smaller copy.
The Keepsake, $59 per event
- The album keeps every photo, up to 5,000.
- The album stays open 365 days after the event day.
- Originals are stored up to 20 GiB per album; past that, a photo stays the smaller copy.
- A family link to view and download every photo.
When the album's window ends, the host can still download everything for 5 more days, and gets an email reminder the day before that closes. Then everything is deleted, except in the one case described under “Reports and takedown”.
Who sees the photos
The host chooses who sees the photos when creating the album, and can change it later:
- Everyone with the link, as they arrive.
- Only the ones I approve: everyone with the link sees only the photos the host approves.
- Only me: only the host sees the photos, and each guest sees that their own photos arrived.
Switching to “Everyone with the link, as they arrive” shows the earlier photos right away.
The family link on The Keepsake shows the album to whoever the host sends it to, whichever option is chosen.
Payment
You pay through Polar, the merchant of record, once per event, in US dollars. The host upgrades from the host page, before the event or the morning after.
The price includes tax outside the US, Canada and India; there, tax may be added at checkout.
Refunds and our guarantee
Love it or it's free. If the album doesn't work for you, write to us within 7 days after your event and we refund the full price. You keep the album.
A refund changes nothing in the album: it keeps its plan and every photo.
To ask for a refund, write to hello@vayluma.com from the email you paid with and tell us the album's name. We never ask for your host link.
Hosts and guests
Hosts share the album's link and QR code with their guests, and need the right to share what they upload.
Guests who add photos let the host see and download them, and let others see them as the host's choice allows.
The host, or a screen helper the host gives a link to, can hide a photo from the guests' page, the screen and the family link. The screen helper's page has no download or delete button.
What is not allowed
Illegal content, and content you have no right to share. We may close an album that holds it.
Reports and takedown
Anyone can report an album, with the “Report this album” link on every album page, or by writing to hello@vayluma.com.
A reported album may be closed for everyone, downloads included, while we act on the report.
If we close an album over suspected child sexual abuse material, we keep it until the authorities or a lawyer answer us, and it is not deleted on its usual date.
